Meursault "Les Tillets" 2017, Patrick Javillier
This lieu-dit is bang in the middle of the hill above Meursault. It runs from mid-slope to high-slope (which has quite some elevation) and is sandwiched between Les Narvaux and Les Clous. A medium yellow slightly silvery colour that is very clear and reflective. Always a good sign. The nose is open, lemon tart, satsuma, white honey, almond and a crumble of hazelnut. Good complexity. This Meursault Les Tillets has a lovely citrus flavour, it is fresh, balanced and integrated. Sophisticated without being overly suave and cloying. Will be good to 2025. Photo shows what I believe is Les Tillets.
