Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Vieilles Vignes 2017, Domaine Parigot
Fourth wine tasted blind, this was very clean and transparent indicating a youthful wine. First nose was of white honey and unsalted butter. Continues on white flowers, almond, perfume. Creamy, long and suave. Stylistically it is dominated by batonnage. Correctly identified as a 2017 I was wowed by the finesse and thought this could be a young Puligny. How wrong I was! Scores 76/100.
