Bourgogne Blanc "La Tufera" 2017, Etienne Sauzet

This domaine is one of the legendary producers in Puligny despite having only 15 hectares of vines. For many years the wines have been vinified by Etienne Sauzet’s son-in-law Gérard Boudot. In recent years Gérard's son-in-law Benoit Riffault has also been involved in the wine-making process. This Bourgogne blanc has a lovely ripe lemon aroma which continues onto the palate. There is impressive fruit substance and a sprinkling of mineral excitement. Yes, it's just Bourgogne blanc. Yet, this is a special wine from a special producer in a special vintage.
