Saint-Romain 2017, Domaine Matrot

In a warmer-than-average vintage like 2017, the vineyards in the hills like Saint-Romain can really shine as they reach full ripeness and still have the freshness that lower altitude appellations can lose. This Saint-Romain is a case in point. The white peach nose announces a lovely palate of fresh apple and pear. Balanced, refreshing and saline. Good value at available from Corney & Barrow ar £21 per bottle in bond.
