Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru “Clos Prieur” 2017, Rossignol-Trapet

This Gevrey 1er Cru from the bio-dynamic domaine Rossignol-Trapet is another 2017 which is very expressive on the nose. Surprisingly floral and feminine. More like a sophisticated Chambolle than a musky Gevrey. This Gevrey 1er Cru is the Whitney Houston of the vintage. The pinot has a beautiful voice, finesse and a silky texture. Very good if somewhat atypical.
