Chablis 1er Cru “L’Homme Mort” 2015, Le Domaine d’Henri

The ripe vintage of 2015 is not likely to be seen as a classic for Chablis but in ripe years if you go north and go up the slope you can recapture freshness. The “L’Homme Mort” lieu-dit is fairly unknown and is the most northerly of all the Chablis premier cru vineyards. This Chablis from the Domaine d’Henri has a pale silvery yellow colour. A bouquet of lemon zest, sherbet, chalk, minerals and Granny Smith apples. Classic Chablis. Imbibed this offers lemon and pear with a hint of lanolin.  Very refreshing and retains the typicity of Chablis terroir in the warm 2015 vintage. Scores 78-82/100.
