Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru "Sous Frétille" 2015, Rollin Père & Fils

I have found the wines from Domaine Rollin in Pernand to be very consistent and their 2012 Corton-Charlemagne really wowed the team during a blind-tasting in the summer of 2017. This Pernand 1er Cru from the ripe 2015 vintage has a warm citrus nose, mandarin, it's light and fragrant. Medium to light body, a slightly pithy texture, ripe lemon, simple, enjoyable. For a 1er Cru from 2015 I was expecting more matière on the palate, riper fruit and overall more pleasure. It's not bad in any way just lack a touch of charm.
