Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru "Les Bousselots" 2015, Domaine Julien

This domaine has been winning plaudits as an up-and-coming producer. So I included a bottle of NSG from Domain Julien in this line up of twelve 2015 red Burgundies. Medium red colour, ruby, transparent. The lightest of the twelve wines tasted. Initial nose is a bit dusty and then blood orange and red cherry aromas come to the fore. Medium plus acidity, linear, medium minus body, a light style and lacking in concentration. Overall conclusion of ten tasters (all wines served blind) was that this was the only wine which wasn't well made and to boot, priced at £57 per bottle from Lay & Wheeler nobody had any inclination to purchase. Worth another try of the domaine's wines but this was a disappointment. Scores 65/100.
