Meursault "Cuvée Tête de Murger" 2009, Patrick Javillier

Full reflective medium yellow. Ripe lemon, salty, green melon, traces of vanilla, very consistent. Subtle. No toast, oak or butter. Trace of oloroso. More on the ripe citrus fruit. Medium acidity, medium body, a cylinder of perfect ripe lemon and mandarin fruit. Doesn't give away its age. Good minerality and finesse. Good chalky texture on the cheeks. This fine Meursault would probably have shone brighter two years ago but it is still very enjoyable and displays an excellent wine-making touch to capture freshness and minerality from a voluptuous vintage. Scores 77/100 in part due to the fact that its just a village appellation Meursault.
