Marsannay 2015, Méo-Camuzet

The Domaine Méo-Camuzet is a producer with an enduring high profile both in France and in foreign lands. One expects to find their wines at the finest Parisian restaurants just as much as on the wine lists of restaurants in St James' in London and Madison Square Park in New York. This 2015 Marsannay is a medium red colour. The bouquet starts with strawberry, tangy cherry stones, a touch of toast, menthol and roses. There is good variety on the nose but it's not pungent. Medium bodied, medium plus acidity, a bit tangy on the finish with a rhubarb flavour. Jolly good show for a Marsannay. Scores 72/100. Just £27 per bottle retail from Lay & Wheeler.
