Beaune 1er Cru "Les Teurons" 2015, Rossignol-Trapet

We tasted at Domaine Rossignol-Trapet in 2017 and enjoyed the wines. These days this is a bio-dynamic domaine which as usual implies prices are 15-25% higher than "just" organic domaines. As with the eleven other 2015s tasted in this flight the colour is an attractive, reflective ruby red. This pinot has already achieved a good dose of barnyard. Toast, dirty, pheasant sweat, savoury. Imbibed this Beaune 1er cru has a tangy cherry flavour, good tannins, dry, rosemary. There is an element of  medieval goat about the wine inspired no doubt by the weird and wonderful bio-dynamic practices. Worthy of a nice photo of Château de la Rochepot. Scores a very good 80/100 and at £37 per bottle retail from Lay & Wheeler this was a big hit with the blind tasters.
