Morey St. Denis "En La Rue de Vergy" 2016, Bruno Clair

A second wine from the always impressive Domaine Bruno Clair tasted at the Justerini & Brooks annual Burgundy tasting. This Morey 2016 has a nose of raspberry, juniper and saffron. It holds one's interest but is not very open. Ripe strawberry, cherry, spicy and fairly intense. This cash sample of the 2016 Morey "En La Rue de Vergy" from Bruno Clair is a very successful 2016 red Burgundy. Scores 72-75/100. This is £570 per case of 12 bottles in bond which is £59.60 per bottle retail. I struggle with the price per bottle though.
