Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Petits Clos" 2015, Jean-Noël Gagnard

Tasted at the annual Justerini & Brooks Burgundy tasting this Chassagne plays on the fresher side of yellow and orange fruits when compared with other wines from 2015 including the same domaine's Chenevottes. Dominated by ripe lemon, satsuma and yellow apple. The texture is thick, pithy and full. A white Burgundy which has serious stature and good medium-term ageing potential. Surprised that it costs 50% more than the Chenevottes which looks much better value. Scores 72-75/100 which is significantly less than the domaine's Les Caillerets 2015.
