Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Vergets" 2012, Génot-Boulanger

Tasted at the domaine in Meursault, this Chassagne has classic aromas and flavours. It starts on orange blossom (soft and recherché), moves on to clementine and a touch of honey. Superb. Lovely peach and pear flavours with good length, a purity of fruit. Beautiful. The nose continues to tantalize. Much more impressive than the other white wines showed in the tasting. As a group we thought that the domaine is on the right track but lacks consistency in style across the wines.
