Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru "Les Lavières" 2011, Tollot-Beaut

The "Lavières" premier cru lieu dit sits on the flat valley floor close to the intersection of the vineyards of Savigny, Aloxe, Chorey and Beaune. A busy pinot noir cross-roads. Floral, fresh cherry, raspberry, classic Savigny. This wine is vraiment compréhensible. There is a dash of orange sanguine making this a linear wine with excellent fresh berry fruit characteristics. It is pretty on the nose and has a dusting of vanilla. Very good for the lieu dit, scores 23/30 for a Savigny 1er Cru.
