Savigny 1er Cru "Les Peuillets" 2010, Domaine Parigot

Another wine tasted at the domaine in April 2012 and again another wine that had just been bottled, literally the day before. As is often the case when one switches from chardonnay to pinot, the first nose was an enthralling waft of violets, cherries. The premier cru lieu dit is next to the Beaune vineyards. Lovely cherries on the palate, so typical of Savigny, fresh, good finesse, delightful. Excellent value for 18 euros. Scores 22/30 for a Savigny premier cru. Photo shows the Domaine Parigot team hard at work in the Hautes Côtes building a wall to shore up a recently acquired vineyard. Great to see they were thinking ahead and supporting Team GB in the Olympics!
