Meursault 2009, Amiot-Servelle

We visited the Domaine Amiot-Servelle in Chambolle for the first time in about 6 years. After buying some deeply disappointing wines from the 2004 vintage we were hoping to find the domaine, which features in most guides to the best domaines, in finer fettle. This 2009 Meursault gave us a welcome surprise. Lemon, fennel, vanilla, round, flavoursome, good richness, buttery, creamy finish with good freshness. Likely to peak in 2013. This was a crowd pleaser and scores 19-22 / 30 for a Meursault appellation.
