Chambolle-Musigny 2010, Amiot-Servelle

This 2010 Chambolle, tasted at the domaine in April 2012, starts on a hawthorn aroma. Aged in 30% new oak barrels, more than they expected, muted, muddled berries, more structure than the Morey tasted beforehand (the opposite of what one would expect given Morey is usually a more serious wine). Not very exciting. Scores 15-17 / 30 for a Morey appellation. None of us bought anything at the domaine due to the poor value / price trade-off as well as the lack of any kind of thrill factor.
