Pouilly-Fuissé 2008, Château de Beauregard

Pouilly-Fuissé has that extra depth of fruit and ripeness that makes one think about the proximity of the Mediterranean to the south of Burgundy. This 2008 has a medium yellow colour, a nose of white asparagus, baked apple, orange blossom, sweet fragrance, white honey. Imbibed this offers white honey, intense orange, apricot, pith. Its linear, watermelon with lime juice. Very refreshing, good bite without being too sharp. Rates 22/30 for the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation.
