Meursault "Clos du Cromin" 2007, Bitouzet-Prieur

Another wine from the Bitouzet-Prieur stable as I plough through the 2007s. Lemon, aniseed, vanilla, possibly a touch too much new oak or the toast is too heavy? Straight, classic, citrus, driven. Hints of fennel and wild garlic leaves. Lemon and cox's apples flavours. Possibly a touch severe. Lingers well. 2007 was not a vintage that enjoyed new oak and this Meursault presently seems to have a touch too much. For the Meursault appellation this scores 19/30.
