Meursault "Clos de la Barre" 2007, Comtes Lafon

This domaine is recognized worldwide as one of the top white Burgundy domaines. The Clos de la Barre is a vineyard near the centre of the village. A pale yellow with silver tints. Initial nose is citrus, warm and suggestive of a sun-warmed sandy beach. An attractive nose which is soft, obviously still young and closed. Limited evolution and no tertiary aromas as yet. Very elegant on the palate with good acidity, freshness, a linear style, nice concentration and structure. Needs at least 2 more years to emerge from its shell and evolve into a broader wine with a more complex bouquet. Wait until 2013 at the earliest!
