Meursault 1998, Leroy

A second wine tasted at the Burgoblog blind tasting in Puligny. An obviously mature, deep, reflective gold almost bronze colour. Nose starts in creme anglaise with suggestions of truffle. Sensual, deep, sous bois with the underyling creme patissiere. Becomes musky. Rounded, very mature, integrated, lemon pudding flavour with superb velvety texture. At the peak of maturity.
