Mâcon-Uchizy 2009, Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon

Tasted at the domaine in Meursault this is the relatively new venture in the Mâconnais. Initial nose starts on pears, a hint of resin, its round with a lovely orange and pear flavour, fresh tannins and good length. A fleshy wine, as one expects from the Mâconnais, but more restrained with less Condrieu-like aromas and flavours which often appear in warm years like 2006 and 2009. Nice energy on the finish as well. Suggests itself as a good apéritif.
