Mâcon-Milly-Lamartine "Clos du Four " 2009, Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon

Another wine tasted at the Domaine des Comtes Lafon in Meursault, this wine contrasts with the Mâcon-Uchizy 2009. Fresh, very mineral, great cherry, clementine and melon flavours. Its nervous and vif. A refreshing vin digeste which captures the riper Mediterranean fruit flavours of the Mâconnais whilst preserving the acidity which keeps the wine alive on the palate. Ideal with a carpaccio of coquilles St Jacques sprinkled with pimiento peppers.
