Savigny-les-Beaune 2007, Denis Boussey

This is a chardonnay from Savigny and is a really pleasant well-made wine at the peak of its evolution. Initial aromas of lemon sponge, vanilla yoghurt, almonds. Apricot juice, fresh, light to medium body. A great picnic wine to taste under a birch tree with white asparagus and a frothy hollandaise sauce. Photo shows the fountain in the Savigny village square.
