Monthélie 1er Cru "Les Champs Fulliots" 2009, Sebastien Deschamps

All the Monthélie premiers crus come from the same strip of vines in the middle of the small valley above Monthélie. This "Champs Fulliots" 2009 has aromas of red berries (raspberry) but is not gushing fruit aromas unlike other 2009s. Hints of flowers. Strong tannins, medium to high acidity, logan berry freshness. This wine needs minimum 8 years to evolve and soften. Not as appealing now as the more jammy and open Monthélie 2009.
