Within 10 seconds of opening this bottle I knew this would be a stunning wine. Beautiful, attractive blue notes from the ripe pinot grapes of 2007. The bouquet is soft, beguiling, interlaced sweet raspberry and blueberry muffin. A touch biscuity. Utterly charming. A wrapper of cherry and vanilla. Continues to evolve and wow. Phenomenally fine fruit on the palate with a hidden structure of tannins and lively acidity. This Chambolle is the most perfect expression of the terroir and I commend it to the House! Incredible. Originally tasted at the domaine in July 2009 this wine stood out even at that juvenile age.
