Saint-Aubin 1er Cru "Fleurs de Coteaux" 2009, Domaine Matrot

Domaine Matrot produces excellent wines designed I believe for the connoisseur and not really for the mass market. They are packed with philosophy and science. This white Saint-Aubin 1er Cru 2009 has initial floral aromas (roses), then lemon. Chewy, full, friendly and likely to taste well when it is young. A fine example of Saint-Aubin. I should think it will evolve nicely based on my experience with a 2002 vintage 6 years after the vendanges. Tasted courtesy of the Corney & Barrow Burgundy 2009 tasting.
