Meursault "Corbins" 2009, Vincent Dancer

Some friends visited the Vincent Dancer domaine in July 2009 and said it was the best tasting of the 12 they tried. I am not surprised. This Meursault 2009 offers excellent typicity for a vintage which was warmer than usual and pushed ripeness beyond the norm. Aged in 10% new oak barrels, this Meursault has cherry juice, ripe apple and juicy pear flavours. It is long and rich with a mineral finish. A real achievement for this ripe year. I preferred the Corbins 2008 from Vincent Dancer which will be more complex. Tasted courtesy of the Justerini & Brooks Burgundy 2009 tasting.
