Vosne-Romanée 2002, Méo-Camuzet

The Domaine Méo-Camuzet is a top notch Burgundy domaine. All the wine is allocated to long-term buyers so you need to buy via well-connected wine merchants. The estate has now been managed by Jean-Nicolas Méo for 20 years. This Vosne 2002, tasted at the Tate Britain restaurant, was very enjoyable and impressive. Plush aromas of violets, blueberry, plum, ripe strawberry and chestnut. Tertiary hints of cocoa, coffee and pencil lead. Luxurious blackberry fruit on the palate with lively tannins and good matiere. This Vosne is in the prime of its life. Perfect now and will still be on the fruit for another 2 years.
