Puligny-Montrachet 2007, Domaine Bzikot

The Bzikot family moved to Puligny from Poland in the 1920s. Great idea. We tasted at the domaine in November 2009 when we first tried this Puligny 2007. Fresh, citrus, linear. This is enjoyable and well made. Errs on the pedestrian. Likely produced from young wines and possibly harvested a few days too early. An insight gleaned from James Simpson MW at a recent dinner. This Puligny is keenly priced. Significantly cheaper than the benchmarks like Louis Carillon, Etienne Sauzet and Jean Chartron.
