Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Perrieres" 2004, Louis Carillon

Consistent light gold colour. Mineral, quartz, icing sugar, almond, gentle vanilla. exquisite. Lemon tart. Images of cafe becher in vienna come to mind. Layets of white grapes, melon, white peach and strawberry juice. A hint of white truffle. Remarkable depth, gras, structure and length on the palate. A powerful and lingering impression like a beautiful aria sung in the Verona opera house. A superb wine which justifies the sky high reputation of the Domaine Louis Carillon which has recently been divided between the two brothers.
