Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru "Les Peuillets" 2008, Domaine Parigot

Reds from Savigny seem to achieve great consistency -- they always ripen well. This Savigny from Domaine Parigot, tasted at the domaine, has a full red cherry colour, a rich and complex nose of strawberry and raspberry. Broad, sticky, beaucoup de matiere, real sucrosity on the palate. Would be good with pigeon or another tangy game bird like partridge. Drink in the next 2 years.
