Saint-Aubin "La Princée" 2007, Hubert Lamy

This Saint-Aubin chardonnay has been a cornerstone of my cellar since 1993. Here are tasting notes for the 2005 and 2008. But some addictions are good for you! Initial aromas of vanilla yoghurt, icing sugar and lemon sponge. A really attractive bouquet which is fragrant and evolves to soft white flowers -- more petals than stemata and pollen. Perfect balance, a slight figure, lemon and orange flavours (agrumes) with vigour and freshness. Medium-to-light bodied with touches of elegance. Photo shows Saint-Aubin viewed from Gamay, the possible birthplace of the Gamay grape.
