Pommard 1er Cru "Les Epenots" 2008, Domaine Parigot

Tasted sur place at Domaine Parigot in Meloisey, the domaine has a total of 5 different Pommard lieu-dits. This young Pommard has an initial nose which is wafty not potent: vanilla, cherry not mush else right now. Very ripe fruit flavours, concentrated, impressive structure. Underlying minerality distinguishes this wine as the produce of a top grade premier cru vineyard. There is everything in the wine to promise an excellent evolution. Did I say it is also outrageously delicious to drink now? Will reach is apogee from 2015 though I'm afraid so be patient. Photo shows the church in Pommard near to which is an excellent restaurant called Aupres du Clocher.
