Hautes-Côtes de Beaune 2008, Jean Chartron

This world famous domaine, with about 14 hectares of vineyards, has one of the most impressive portfolios of white Burgundy vineyards. This is always a good sign when buying more simple wines. This chardonnay from the Hautes-Côtes starts on subtle almond and citrus notes. Fresh and full on the palate with dominant lime and lemon flavours. Needs time to soften. Good fruit finish.
