Over the last 5 years I have enjoyed tasting the pinots produced by the Bouley family in Volnay. My co-taster Mitch Sedgwick immediately identified this as a "Red Burgundy Wine" as stated on the bottle. This 2006 Volnay announces itself with a lovely deep cherry colour. Violets, strawberries, plums and soft licorice on the nose -- the sweet jazz tones of the 2006 vintage ring true.
