Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru “Derrière La Grange” 2008, Louis Remy

Appellations called "Behind The Barn" can earn themselves a Sid James style naughty laugh sometimes -- especially later on in the evening. This 1er Cru Chambolle 2008 from the Louis Remy domaine is a peach rather than a pervert. Classic perfumed nose that makes one think of orchid-dotted meadows. A lovely delicate palate, true to the terroir and with a full finish. Surely it must be tiffin time behind the barn! Tasted courtesy of the Justerini & Brooks annual Burgundy tasting.
