Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru 2008, Joseph Drouhin

Chambolle, the lady of the vineyards, should be delicate, elegant and perfumed. This 1er Cru 2008 Chambolle from the big daddy of Burgundy producers ticks many of the boxes but lacks weight: Kate Moss rather than Kate Winslet. The wine is light, with a jammy red currant and raspberry taste, sweet, appealing and easy to drink. A hedonistic wine. Needs to be revisited in late 2010 when, with a bit more age, the wine will have fleshed out.
