Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru "La Genelotte" 2008, Martelet de Cherisey

Another montgolfier-sized wine from the Martelet de Cherisey domaine in speck-sized hamlet of Blagny. Hay and straw aromas lead to a really big bouquet of apricots and truffles (surprising given the youth of the wine). Very warm and chewy on the palate. Structure-driven. Currently this wine is all about oak and power. Will impress after 3 more years in bottle but lacks the acidity to age elegantly. Another wine tasted at the Justerini & Brooks Burgundy tasting.
