Santenay 1er Cru "Les Gravieres" 2007, Bernard Morey

A tremendously enjoyable and giving wine. Plum, dark fruits, cerf, violets. Its original, sooty nose is intriguing. Contrasts with a fresher palate of red cherries, mineral, chewy and sugared finish. Good partner for grilled lamb or steak tartare. Lacks the acidity to complement any kind of stew.
