Saint-Aubin 1er Cru "Les Murgers Des Dents De Chien" 2002, Hubert Lamy

This premier cru lieu-dit has a remarkably long name which remains a mystery to me. The more pedestrian "Derriere Chez Edouard" is easier to understand. Almond, lemon rind, sea salt, oyster shell. Fresh, salty and tangy on the palate. Enjoyably lively given it is 7 years old. Good depth from the fruit and oak tannins. A most enjoyable wine which has aged gracefully. Think of Sophia Loren in her 40s.
