Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "La Garenne" 2007, Etienne Sauzet

Produced from vines that are 34 years old this 1er cru is fairly closed to start with, touches of mineral / quartzy aromas and then builds into a dome of lemon pie. This is the most mineral terroir for a 1er cru and it shows. Superb concentration from low yields, fresh, dry, chalky, flinty finish. Perfect companion for grilled dover sole. The elegance and concentration that can only be found in Puligny.
