Meursault 2007, Henri Darnat

The Darnat wines are special and interesting. But not for everyone and definitely not for your fruit/potency seeking American. Meursault, like Gevrey in the north, should be assessed as the house special. No pegging the glory to the premier crus. What is the village wine like? Bottled in March 2009 this is a backwards, savoury and mineral wine. Nuts, lemon, citrus, fresh and classic. Still closed. The linearity and concentration suggests an excellent wine for tasting from 2011.
