Chassagne-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes 2007, Bernard Morey

This red Chassagne is a brilliant, bright pink-red colour with classic fresh pinot aromas of cherry and plum. A truely vibrant wine. Aged in 40% new oak the Chassagne rouge delivers cooked strawberries, wild berries and good tannins. Rounded, balanced and fairly rich without the sometimes rustic tannic edge which makes Chassagne a cheap pinot date. Another VV winner.
