Saint-Romain 2006, Alain Gras

Pale steely colour. This Saint-Romain begins with lemon, thick citrus aromas, oak and toast and then moves onto icing sugar, pear, tart crust, orange and minerals. Lovely balance, integration, lemon, minerality, apple and crisp. The Saint-Romain is a lovely "off piste" wine which requires a knowledgeable guide to point you to the right bottle.
