Puligny-Montrachet 2007, Henri Darnat

Courtesy of the Corney & Barrow Burgundy 2007 tasting. The domaine Henri Darnat is a Meursault domaine with a remarkable variety of vineyard holdings. In fact two days tasting would be required to do justice to the full flight. This domaine lives on its convictions -- no new oak. This Puligny spent 11 months in tonneuax and 6 months in cuves. Rich, mineral, excellent pure melon/peach fruit with a fresh and dry finish. Harvested in mid-September. An excellent contrast to the bigger oaked Pulignys.
