Puigny-Montrachet 1er Cru "La Garenne" 2007, Jean-Marc Boillot

Courtesy of the Bibendum Burgundy tasting 2007. Unsurprisingly, people get confused between the wines of Jean Boillot & Fils and Jean-Marc Boillot. Having surmounted that point of confusion what is the story with this Puligny? Concentrated lemon, mineral, elegant and crisp. This vineyard is near the top of the Puligny slope closer to Saint-Aubin. The grapes were picked on August 27th which strikes me as being too early. I wonder about the longevity of this Puligny which lacks matière.
