Courtesy of the Bibendum Burgundy tasting 2007. The
Domaine Matrot is in the lucky position of owning 18 hectares of vines in Meursault, Puligny, Auxey and Monthélie. This is a good Meursault 2007 village quality wine. Fennell, russet apple, pear, mint and even a hint of oriental basil (not the same as Mediterranean!). This is a sweetly aromatic wine which sets up a broad-bodied chardonnay with tangy apple and orange flavours. Everything one could hope for and served by two sympathetic young ladies.
