Meursault 2007, Thierry et Pascale Matrot
Courtesy of the Bibendum Burgundy tasting 2007. The Domaine Matrot is in the lucky position of owning 18 hectares of vines in Meursault, Puligny, Auxey and Monthélie. This is a good Meursault 2007 village quality wine. Fennell, russet apple, pear, mint and even a hint of oriental basil (not the same as Mediterranean!). This is a sweetly aromatic wine which sets up a broad-bodied chardonnay with tangy apple and orange flavours. Everything one could hope for and served by two sympathetic young ladies.
