Chambolle-Musigny 2007, Ghislaine Barthod
Courtesy of the Justerini & Brooks Burgundy 2007 tasting. This wine is routinely considered a classic and the 2007 fulfills the expectation. This is a light, feminine, perfumed, toasty, vanilla offering on the nose. In the mouth, baked rhubarb pie and slightly tart berry fruits combine with a good fine tannin structure which promises longevity. I was left imagining a future of spice and truffle. Mme Barthod started the vendanges in the first week of September, while others started in the final week of August or the second week of September. Good pricing.
